Shangri-La Resort

I come to Shangri-la often to dine and enjoy the resort. Everytime I’ve been here the service has been hideous in both Docs restaurant and the anchor club house as well as Eddie’s dockside grill. The staff is rude and not customer oriented at all. The food is no better than the service, for being an upscale resort with premium prices customers should expect good service and food. I’d highly recommend replacing some staff or doing some serious retraining. I’m not one to usually complain but this is too bad to let go without some kind of feedback.

Shangri-la resort weekend before New Year 2024 Food: not included breakfast with the room price. But we get breakfast there around 15 $ / person But the breakfast was so good tea and coffee was the best pancakes and eggs made with love. At the Doc's Cleanlinss: Everything is clean and detailed with every person working there. It makes you feel it's their house, not a place they work in. Rooms: we get a room with 2 queen beds, so clean smell so fresh, and the view is great as in the picture . Intertanment: Arcade are the most attractive games not working. Although if it is fixed, it will be great. And we get family fun offers that are included with room price. 25$ a night worth of gaming with is tons of fun All other games you need to pay for, it's 5 $ to 40 $, depending on what you want to play. Gift shop: so overpriced. Indoor pool free, warm, and clean with all towels available. Gym clean great tools and machines and bathroom with lockers and showers with hair dryer mouth wash and even Q_tips and lady's needs towels in bathroom available. Hot tub available one little one available around the resort. Outdoor pools are great, and water games look great for summer vacation. Arcade open at 4 pm morning great for gym and pool. Playing ground for kids so fun although need more under 5 Y/o of age games. It's so clean and fun. We did not have enough time to play golf because we wanted to explore the local restorants and stores at Afton/Oklahoma People working there so friendly, helpful, smart and love the resort. Personal at the front desk smart polit and helpful I would like to mention them, Traci, Hanna and Melanie thank you ladies you make our vacation worth a while. We planning to get there at summer as well.

Beautiful lakeside location! Attended a wedding performed on the back patio of the clubhouse with reception in a ballroom. Small, quaint ceremony with larger reception gathering. Service was good. My niece struggled to get straight answers from the event coordinator from the beginning though in which I was with her the first visit. Sounded like a planning nightmare throughout to get simple answers. Almost a week after the event & amount total still not finalized. Would not advise anyone to deal with the headache she got from the coordinator, Dana. No reason costs could not be determined & settled before the wedding day.

Stayed during off season??. The rooms were okay nothing special but were clean. However they weren’t busy so why not space the few patrons out at least not side by side?Other than that the room was fine. The spa however was not spa vibes. We usually visit the Artesian but like to also try new places out and gave this place a shot. I think my husband was more disappointed that the experience was lacking as he wanted to give me a relaxing weekend away after being deployed the past year. I’ve never had when booking multiple things a 45min wait to my next service. They also told my husband who set it up a different time than what was scheduled. I was offered a bottle of water at the beginning and after my massage so that was nice...After the massage I went up front assuming the facial would be next but it was not.The massage was ok but to then have a 45 min wait until the facial was odd. Luckily I was staying at the hotel because I was offered a robe and to sit in the steam or sauna but the steam room smelt of mildew so I returned the robe and said I would return for the facial. The facial was pleasant and relaxing though.Perhaps when visiting this place skip the spa and go during the summer season when other outside amenities can be enjoyed. Overall our stay was ok. Most likely won’t be a place we stay again though. Spending just over 250 tip included for spa services that weren’t on par for being a “spa”is definitely disappointing though.
